The San Marzano is an Italian plum tomato with very few seeds and juice. It is quite firm which makes it a perfect tomato for preserves, tomato paste or tomato sauce. It is also very delicious eaten fresh in salads. If you have a greenhouse, it will greatly appreciate the extra heat.
