Fortin Family Bean - Seeds

$5.95

Latin name: Phaseolus vulgaris

The 'Fortin Family' variety produces beautiful and delicious fresh or dried wax beans. Very impressive productivity.

At risk of extinction: the original cultivar was cultivated for several generations by the Fortin family from the Cap Saint-Ignace region of Quebec (between Montmagny and Saint-Jean Port-Joli) and left as an inheritance by Catherine Fortin.

To prove its productivity: I sowed 45 g of seed in the summer of 2017 in Bic, Quebec and harvested 1,137 g of seed! No known diseases or insects.
