$12.36 $16

Latin name: Beta vulgaris crassa

This traditional variety is known for its ideal "all-purpose" characteristics. Round, dark red root, sweet, tender, fine-textured flesh. Equally good raw or cooked. It is delicious grated in salads, cooked, pickled or preserved. Throughout the growing season, you can harvest some of its delicious foliage and use it in salads or cooked like spinach. Good companion plant for beans, cabbage and lettuce. However, avoid planting it near pole beans (climbing beans).
