Yellow Beet 'Burpee's Gold' - Seeds
Latin name: Beta vulgaris crassa
Root round, yellow, sweet, tender and fine textured. As good to eat raw as cooked. It is delicious grated in salads, cooked 'aldente', in marinades or canned. Throughout the growing season, you can harvest some of its delicious foliage and use it in salads or cooked like spinach. Good companion plant for beans, cabbage and lettuce. However, avoid sowing it near pole (climbing) beans.
