Latin name: Persicaria Tinctoria Dyer's Knotweed

Also called Japanese Dyers' Knotweed, Japanese indigo is the favorite plant of artisan dyers for its magnificent tones of deep blue to turquoise that it can give to fabrics.

Very easy to grow annual plant producing two to three harvests of leaves per year even here in Bic.

Sow: Sow 6-8 weeks before transplanting to the garden. Sensitive to frost: acclimatize the plants and transplant them to the garden once all risk of night frost has passed.
